This style is simple, but so stylish! I pride myself on using the highest quality findings and beads. The beads are color changing mood beads based on your “mood”. I’ve then wire wrapped one of my glass birds as a simple pendant. I use unique glass and use reactive frits that bring out lovely colors. Lampwork beads are created by melting glass rods over an oxygen/propane torch that is about 1500 degrees. After the bead is created it goes immediately into a digital kiln that is programmed to slowly cool the beads, which allows a nice cool, so that the glass bonds and is molecularly strong and solid. Each bead is then cleaned with a dremel tool to get the bead release (which prevents the glass from sticking to the metal rod). It’s a long process to say the least! I’ve worked on a bead for up to 25 minutes before! An average bead takes about 5-7 minutes! The bead has been wire wrapped on sterling wire and I use sterling thai spacers to finish the pendant.
